I am collector of many things... and I love collecting different jewelry pieces. I really believe that it completes and can even update any outfit. I have some fine jewelry that have been gifted or past down to me, but my collection consists of mostly costume jewelry.

I love to display my jewelry, so that I can see what I have. I don't like digging through a jewelry box to get to the necklace I want to wear. And to avoid tangling necklaces, I place them on necklace bust displays, very similar to how you would see them displayed in a boutique. I have the space in my closet to display my accessories on shelves, but if you have shelves in your bedroom, or if you have a dresser, you can display your jewelry there too.

I like to organize my necklaces by type. I have my statement necklaces on one shelf, on white velvet necklace busts. On the second shelf, I have necklaces I have purchased over the years, from LE Grande Jewelry. They're hand knotted with pearls, beads, stones. I LOVE them! They're so dainty! They dress up any casual outfit.

I have these displayed on glass necklace busts (long), as well as white velvet busts (short).

I love to mix textures and colors to give it a boutique decor to my display.

I have a special storage place for jewelry pieces that carry special sentimental value, gifted from very special people in my life. I store them in an ornate, see-through box, so that I can see them.

I also have another glass box (not shown) for my rings, and one for my earrings.

I also like to lay some of my bracelets on the shelf. All others hang on a jewelry stand.

I enjoy seeing everything in its place when I walk in my dressing room. I can notice when something is missing, especially when my daughters "borrow" my jewelry. They are notorious for not returning them back.

I have other collections displayed on my shelves that are not mentioned in this post (hats, perfumes, watches, sunglasses), but I will share that soon.

Do you have a jewelry collection? I hope this has inspired you to organize your jewelry and display it.

I can't believe Mother's Day is this weekend! Quarantine life feels like our days have been blurred together. These special celebrations, they just seem to creep up on us, lately. On top of that, most shopping malls are still closed, so the pressure is on to find that special gift - with just two days away.

So... what do we get mom?

Many moms are confined to their homes with their kids ALL day, EVERY day. Others are still working hard, all the while keeping up with the chaos of this new lifestyle. So, for the stressed out and exhausted moms, I think a thoughtful gift will be the perfect gift.

A tote filled with uplifting and comforting items for some "me-time". It can be taken to a park, the beach or to her favorite spot in the backyard.

Fill the tote with:

  • A throw blanket - this will come in handy if she decides to sit on the ground.

  • A water bottle - it will keep her hydrated, and her drink cool.

  • A devotional book or a journal and a pen.

  • A one year subscription of her favorite magazine.

  • A zip pouch to hold her keys, hand cream or phone accessories.

  • A brimmed hat - She'll look stylish, and it'll protect her face from the sun.

Sneak a gift card too!

Place all the items neatly in the tote, and add her favorite flowers!

The tote can house these items neatly when they're not in use. She can have it at her reach when she needs alone time.
